    Grade these choices oppositionfor Floyd....

    Manny Pacquiao: A+
    Sergio Martinez at 154/155: A
    Miguel Cotto at 154: B+
    Saul Alvarez at 154: C+
    Lamont Peterson at 147: C

That's how I see it, same goes Manny Pacquiao. Bob Arum seemed disinterested in the idea of Mayweather-Pacquiao on May 5th, saying Manny won't be ready. It's total BS, how could anyone believe Arum wants to make that fight??? If Manny doesn't stand up and demand Floyd, than f**k him too.

Martinez or Cotto are good options, while Alvarez and Peterson are alright options. I'd like Alvarez more in 2013, if he were to beat someone like Kirkland. Or I'd like Peterson more if he were to beat Khan convincingly and snag a good win at 147 lbs.

Either way, I am sure we'll find out in a weeks time what both Floyd and Manny are doing next.

If you aren't going to fight the reigning and lineal champ at his weight class, then what's the point? Sergio is like 37 and hasn't been at Jr MW in a few years. Fighting at 154 is no point.

Floyd can come in at 150 and grab the MW title and really put a stamp on his career. I just see no point in fighting Sergio with nothing on the line. His negotiating power is with that lineal title

              Agree.

Martienz at 154 would be an A though. He only weighs in at 158-159 right now, so him going down to 154/155 isn't too much, and he could rehydrate up to 160-164 easily, and not lose anything.

Martinez, Pacquiao, and Cotto are the best options by far. Bradley would be a good option, but there's no way Bob is letting Floyd get Bradley before Pacquiao, now that he owns Bradley's ass. Alvarez is an okay option, but to me, Canelo needs to prove something before he steps in with Floyd or Manny. He needs to beat someone like Kirkland, Cotto, Lara, etc. Canelo is not ready for Floyd and that's a C+ fight to me. Peterson and Guerrero, now way. They are both prime, but Lamont didn't even really beat Khan in my eyes and Guerrero has never even fought at 140 and is coming off surgery, sorry.

EXACTLY! there is no point! the fight shouldn't happen...

Floyd has fought @ 128 during his career! he has no business fighting the lineal champ @ 160! over 30lbs heavier!...

why doesn't Martinez just go dominate the Crusierweight division??

I can only respond to the choices given to me

I don't care about the weight he fought when he was 21. He's at WW and Sergio is at MW and is small at that weight to boot. But he is advanced in age where I don't know about Jr MW, especially when he has no ties there any more.

Floyd would get tremendous respect if he grabbed that MW title. Fighting at him at Jr. MW would be kinda 'meh'.

While I would be excited as hell to Mayweather-Martinez, if Sergio can't get his fights with Floyd or Manny, why not try to push for Martinez-Ward??? That's a huge fight, who wouldn't want to see that?
