Well on boxing talk they reported that Rahman is now a free agent, and that Top Rank has offered him a deal to fight Maskaev instead of Don King's plan to fight Toney.

I don't think he should fight either one of them...he should fight Brewster or Byrd or somebody to get this thing rolling toward unification....I think Rahman wins by UD if it does happen tho.

Who cares? The general consensus amongst boxing fans is that we are demanding a unification tournament. Any other non-unification fights with the current beltholders in 2006 is irrelevant.

Well this is a fight that will lead to the tournament because Maskaev beat Sam for the #1 spot to fight Rahman. I don't know if a tournmanet will happen, Byrd doesn't want to do business with Don King anymore and Brewster is not too happy as well. Rahman also left, only guy left is Ruiz.

Just if Don King would die or someone would wack him.....I hate to say that about anyone but he has really tarnished the sport I love more than any other single person.......

There needs to be a sense of urgency in the division right now. The longer the fighters and promoters prolong things by giving non-title holders shots at the title, the more likely that things will get screwed up and never happen. I cannot understand how promoters work, because a unification tournament with all the current titleholders on one card would be what most fans would buy(ppv).

Rahman will win by brutal 4-6th round KO, similar what he did to Kali Meehan, but then again, you never know with Rahman.
