most folks are sold on the idea that pac or floyd should fight sergio martinez if theyre not gonna fight each other.

I say if sergio is determined to look for a smaller opponent why not let him earn his stripes vs cotto first??? Martinez is nowhere near as good as his last 3 fights make him seem to alot of people and I give cotto a great shot at pulling the upset.

I dont think he would get beaten that badly even if he lost. He has the speed to keep up with sergio, a good jab to make him think twice about rushing in, and a tight guard that doesnt really leave alot of openings.

I think he might just end up pushing martinez back and force him to fight off his back foot.

I dont see why not,its a good fight,id expect Cotto to catch a beatdown but he would yet again be showing how large his testicles are in comparison to mayweathers,which seems too have been a feature throughout Cottos career

Dude, Martinez has been calling out Cotto for months but Cotto said he doesn't bring enough money to the table. If that fight ever happened Cotto would get knocked out. The last two fighters with good handspeed that Cotto faced either beat him up (Pacquiao) or took him to the brink (Clottey). He can't absorb punches from a guy like Martinez who's stopping full fledged middleweights.
