Comments Thread For: Chavez Blasts Sergio Martinez: No Fear, No Promise Made

WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (44-0-1, 31KOs) is tired of the verbal attacks by Sergio Martinez. Last week, Martinez branded Chavez as a "coward" for not agreeing to fight him. During last month's WBC convention in Las Vegas, the sanctioning body named Martinez as the mandatory challenger to Chavez's title, but then failed to force the fight, which made Martinez vacate the WBC's Diamond title.

actions speak louder than words, Chavez DUCKED his mandatory who happens to be Sergio Martinez. he can say he doesn't have fear all he likes but he ducked Martinez.

Julio "el Cobarde" Chavez needs to be a man, shut up and just face his mandatory or vacate his title.

Martinez just wants the title and has said it a 1000 times.

Chavez is a coward plain and simple

is this kid for real? "If he wants me he can talk to my promoters and we can fight anytime" uhhh really? Because he's called you a ***** multiple times in public and practically begged to knock you the **** out and it was ur dad who stepped in and spat all over his family name and got on his knees and cried, snitched and begged to get u out of the Martinez fight and fight Rubio instead. You ****ing coward, Martinez never "rejected" Zebik HBO did yet the same company let u fight him instead, and you ****ing lost to Zebik get that **** straight too. Chavez got a fake belt, a fake undefeated record, he's a ***** and he's brought the ***** out of his "great" father just like Oscar did when he made his daddy quit cuz his lips was bleeding. THis ****ing kid not only lived up to his dad's legacy but he also shat all over it. Cong****

The kid is just doing what daddy wants. He's not afraid. If Martinez nearly
lost to the Brit, the kid will knock him out inside of 5.

if Chavez could beat him he would be fighting him and not Rubio, that's how Arum rolls. if Chavez was any good the WBC wouldn't have gift wrapped him a title

the guy's just living off his daddy's name.

I think [Sergio] is more interested in my name than my title. When I got the opportunity to fight for the championship it didn't matter who I had to face

dude, first of all it was sergios title that was handed to you.
                    secondly,HBO didn't approve Martinez-Zbik,they thought it would've been a mismatch
