    wasting money?

    hbo cares about ratings.

chavez and canelo get them good ratings right?

    not a waste to them.

ratings dont do anything for me. i guess if that justifies mismatches with predictable outcomes, power to you. enjoy the "fights"

Chavez had no amateur career. He needs ring experience. I think it's great that Chavez, Canelo, Gamboa, Broner now Seth Mitchell have got a little HBO love. Not to mention many others over the years. Boxing needs fresh faces constantly and I'm glad they give 'em their moment in the sun.

I agree they could use a little stiffer competition but the problem is for guys like Chavez, Canelo, Bradley, Paul Williams(Before Martinez), Dawson(a couple years ago) the bigger name guys don't necessarily wanna fight 'em. They all say the same BS. Who has he beat?Or they don't sell enough PPV's. And the fight never happens. It takes two to tango. But still Canelo and Chavez are so young. Why rush 'em?

yeah but ratings do something for hbo and that's what they care about.

never said i enjoy mismatches. just pointing out why chavez and canelo gets the fights on hbo they do.

learn how and why boxing/sports work and you'll be a lot less frustrated.

stars get the biggest fights and most money. there will always be fighters who don't get their due and don't get their opportunity.

been that way for over 100 years.

          welcome to the sport.

I think just about every boxer gets a share of hate. It's not just Jr. People simply just don't like a certain boxer for w/e reason. Lots of people hated Ali. And lots of people loved him. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

            Diversity...
