This is a good fight to kickstart 2012 :-) Maybe JuanMa - Gamboa by the end of 2012?

So everybody in boxing is allowed to have an off night except Puerto Ricans, because as soon as they lose their "0" people have field-days,beat pi~atas, and talk about how over rated they were...anyway, Salido beat knocked em around, so what,is he realky better than Juanma?**** no..he had alot of thibgs going against him including his pride..now he has buckled down and even with no defense of improvement he is going to starch this guy, either that or beat em for 12 rounds and if I knew how to bet the little points that o have I would..

Haha why did you feel the need to defend puerto ricans no one even said anything then you throw in your pinata comment trying to be funny. Salido has a better resume than Juan Ma not to mention a TKO win over him already. The only chance Juan Ma has is a punchers chance but you know Salido is gonna bring it again and Juan Ma will eat punches thats for sure. It looked to me like he was trying to box in the first fight too, just his defense is so bad it didnt really matter. Unless he hires a new trainer Juan Ma will never get over the wall hes stuck at.

i feel you dude but its not just puerto ricans its every fighter when they lose that 0 people turn on them which is crazy, in lopez and salido case i think salido might just have his number the way he was landing that overhand right the whole night. if he couldnt adjust to that after 5 or 6 rounds then he's just a sucker for the overhand right, no big deal the same way paul williams is a sucker for the straight left hand, doesnt mean there not good fighters, just means they need new trainers

I have to go back and check but didn't the judges have Juanma up on the cards at the time of the stoppage? I like both fighters but you gotta give it up for fighters like Salido, Segura, Calderon and others who go into others back yard to get the fight off.

Funny how the tide can turn. Salido did seem to be the favorite in a rematch several months ago. "Slicksouthpaw's" probably right, though; Orlando's last couple of fights might have changed some people's impression of him. On the other hand, it's not like JuanMa looked great against Oliver. I think this fight is too close to call. It'll all depend on who shows up on the night of the fight...and that's anybody's guess.

So true. JuanMa's trainer, if he used the same one for Oliver as for his earlier fights, should be fired. Lopez has not improved his defense one iota. JuanMa's ability hasn't changed, but his approach to boxing has become misguided. Whose fault is that? Ultimately, the trainer is to blame.

What Juanma showed in his last fight, he will get KO faster than his first fight

Redemption time for Lopez. If he beats Salido in March, he should either stay at 126 for fights with Garcia, Russell Jr, and maybe Donaire eventually....or he should jump to 130 for fights with Broner, Gamboa, Uchiyama, etc.
