makes me wonder why you like floyd so much.
I like Floyd cause I really appreciate his skills. I think most of the criticism of his resume is unfair and, to be honest, I find him really entertaining. Call it a guilty pleasure.

I mean when he wanted to fight Oscar again instead of Cotto....who wouldn't want to fight Oscar again after you just tripled your career high pay day against him and beat him soundly in a fairly competitive fight? He got too much criticism for that. Marquez fight was B.S, I agree with that......but Mosley and Ortiz? Two very legitamite fights.

I think I just see a lot of the shortcomings on his resume as things of cirumstance as opposed to him "ducking" or being a "coward". There are things I call him out for and I think he makes himself sound unbearably ****** when he speaks sometimes but for whatever reason I'm definitely a fan.

After reviewing his resume over and over again, I have no problem with anyone giving him a B+/A-. He had a solid resume, and had he come out on top against Trinidad or one of the Mosley fights, it would be an A for sure. He had a lot of controversial fights, but Oscar was an ATG in my book, and this is coming from someone who rooted against him.

As a oscar fan its an B a resume is list off accomplishments; Losses aren't accomplishments only in boxing people act like a L means something there is nothing to be proud about a loss.

no one ever gets shi t on for fighting oscar or wanting to. but when pac is still outstanding 2 years later. its a problem.

I'm not going to go into his resume for the umpteenth time, but it can never be confused for that of oscar, competition wise.

            ...........................

only in boxing can you pick and choose who you fight to get belts, so the process isn't the same for everyone.

i every other sport there is a clear champion. there is also a playoff procedure.

You won't see me arguing that.

A loss is better then avoiding fighters. If you lose a fight but had the heart and courage to fight dangerous fights. trying to prove to people and themselfs they are the best.
That is something to be proud of.

Unlike alot of fighters today who talk 2 much without actually stepping up.

Oscar did plenty of avoiding as well.

Anyway, that's subjective. Wins and losses are not - and Oscar gets a lot of credit for losing (on these boards anyway).

Oscar could of been a all time great if he had retired after the Mayorga bout which I think was a fix fight after some poor performances. By fighting Mayweather and Pacquiao after being some what shot hurt him in the history of boxing. It was said the Edwin Valero gave Oscar a far worse beating than these two guys. Oscar only fought Mayweather to get him away from Aurm and make him Golden boys cash cow which was a great bussiness move. Oscar at that time couldn't fight passed 8 rounds and the Mayweather were aware of that
