Has any boxer dominated Bernard and Hopkins talent like Roy did.

I don't care if you don't think hopkins would have ever beat roy or not, I'm not going to argue because it's impossible to know. My two very simple points were - jones didn't dominate hopkins and hopkins (and jones) were not in their primes when they fought.Comment

What gets lost in his resume is that he went from 160 to win a heavyweight championship. Something that hasnt been done in over 100 years. This effectively makes his resume an A+. Especially when you figure in a four division champ. He beat the best 160 pounder. He beat the best 168 pounder. He didnt beat Darius, but he would of. Then he won the heavy weight championship as a natural 168-175lb fighter. Let Pac go win 175 or Floyd go win 175, thats the equivalent. But they cant do that. Floyd wont even go to 160, and neither will Pac, cause its "too much weight". Give Roy the credit for going 40lbs outside his own weight!!! And then DOMINATING that heavyweight.Comment

Hopkins was 40 years old by the time he finally lost to taylor (how old was roy when he got KTFO twice in a row? probably not a good idea to bring up age and compare who was doing what).

Hopkins was 27 when he fought Roy, he was in his physical prime. He may have become more savey, but he got weaker, and slower after that.Comment

Zab won the first four rounds against floyd and knocked him down (didnt get counted) Oscar was a split descison. Roy won 8rounds to four. Thats a wider margin than either of Floyds fights especially since his fight with Bernard was in the bag from the start. The rounds that Bernard won, was mainly from Roy resting and playing it safe. Bernard didnt take any rounds from Roy, they were given to him.Comment

Hopkins was at his best and prime, huh? Is that why a year and a half later he got a draw with Segundo Mercado? The very same Mercado who went 1-8-1 after that point?
James Toney was at his best? Is that why he had been struggling to make weight and had fought several over the limit fights between the time he won the 168 title and the time he faced Jones? Is that why he moved up his next fight and lost to a fighter with 14 fights?Comment

RJJ had great wins over BH and TOney. The thing is it seems to be at a time when BH wasnt considered all that. And James Toney made a ton of excuses why he didnt perform so even excuses take away from RJJ in a way, undeservingly.
There was a time when RJJ seriously was the man, along what Pac is now. But RJJ considers Pac better than himself.Comment

hopkins was not in his prime when he fought roy, simple as that. He wasn't weaker and slower in 1996, 1997, & 1998, that's for sure.Comment
