Promoter Ahmet Oner of Arena Box recently explained his view on why German promotional company Universum suffered such a serious decline in the last couple of years. In the opinion of Oner, there were miscalculations in their strategy for televised events and they led to ZDF walking away at the end of the deal. Universum has since restructured their stable of fighters and the company has new ownership.

Oner does fix fights, even ringing a bell early himself... But sometimes he talks sense. Boxing does not need crappy fights and champs. We need to invest in true champs. With the iternet now, fans demand big fights and can tell who is a fraud.

Well I have to disagree that "you cant make money in Germany". The Klitschko's seem to be able to put 50,000 in an arena, and I doubt they are papering the house............
