The same guy he says that is washed up?

You do know there is places in the world apart from the U.S. where people can fight right? If I remember Pirog offered Martinez a good amount to fight.

Sure that's a solid matchup. After Martinez gets destoyed by Ward, he will need a confidence fight. Cotto would be the perfect guy. I don't think I'd say it needs to happen but it would be interesting.

I agree with the other guy. Sergio needs to fight a big name to get his own name out to the people. Fighting Pirog would be good for the hardcore boxing fans but in the end Sergio still wont be a public draw if he wins.

The main man @ 160 is willing to fight the main man @ 154....
and is even willing to go down to 154 and fight him in his own weightclass...

if the man @ 154th doesn't take it.... he's ducking

Cotto will probably ignore any possibility of a Martinez match-up, it simply will not happen.

I guess some fans still don't understand how the boxing business works.

......it doesn't matter if Martinez is promoted by Lou or if he's a a "high risk low reward" type of fighter. If Cotto doesn't fight him ..... despite Martinez's willingness to fight him @ 154 ..he'll be ducking him.

does he have a good reason for avoiding Martinez? sure..... but it's still ducking

Then why do you keep using childish words like ducking when you know it's a business decision?
