Yes manny could fight marquez but honestly both know too much about each other and each of their fights has been more boring than the previous one .

Ortiz and berto are tied up together . Maidana would be nice but he neither has proved his worth at 147 .

MY POINT IS THAT we need at least 3 ppvs per year to keep us in touch with the casual fans and potential new fans since PPVS Is the only boxing event they watch . Its not like the casuals watch hbo or espn .
Cotto vs martinez are the only other 2 names that are close enough in weight and could hold a ppv and actualy put on a good show .

Believe it or not martinez ko of paul williams may not have made him a household name but it sure got his a s s known to alot of people .

Sergio is beloved on mma websites and even recognized by lots of young people on social sites .

Cotto seems like he be fine and would shamelessly do it. he did say in an interview awhile back that Martinez brings in no money. How often does someone even get Cotto to talk?

We have to face that none of the bigger names want anything to do with Martinez. The last guy that did was Pavlik (I do not think P Will is a big name) and you see what happened to him. Even though he was damaged from B Hop he got wrecked.
