If anyone should apologize its Cortez for allowing it to escalate that far. If I was reffing that fight I would've gave floyd a hard warning after the first elbow (probably the first round) and taken a point away for the second elbow.

He would've stopped that **** right then and there and if Ortiz continued to land bombs when floyd was on the rope than he was 1 punch away from hattoning him or a couple of punches away from a ref stoppage

Lets not forget that floyd wasn't throwing back on the ropes and refs can stop a fight if one fighter is defenseless.

This is a very weird post...I read Check Hook say that refs have stopped fights for lesser.....no that is not true....they stop the fight when a hurt fighter is defenseless and getting hit and not throwing back.....

Not when the guy on the ropes is sitting there making Ortiz waste energy by punching gloves and arms while the guy on the ropes is sitting there laughing at him.....

I really didn't like a Vic's comments and I'm a huge fan, I mean even if you did try to intentionally do it why admit it? Nobody likes dirty fighters especially one that boats about it after doing it. But in perspective, this is Ortiz, a true oddball who is known to make some off the wall comments.

So it's really no big deal right? Ortiz just issues an apology and says he was misunderstood and problems solved right?

Even though he said that I didn't buy it, just like I don't buy most of the crap that comes out of Ortiz's mouth. He may look like he has some sense but he doesn't.

It's one thing to commit a foul in the heat of the moment but to say on camera that it was premeditated and you would do it again is a different story. I think the NSAC should give him a warning but threatening to revoke his license is a bit much.
