Yea Corrales did, it has nothing to do with JLC "win" over Corrales though.

And, Casamayor won that fight also.

Not sure how it was relevant to my point.

Cotto beat Margarito in a clean fight and lost a questionable one. Wheras Corrales knocked Castillo out and was shot in the second fight (as was castillo) but Corrales made the weight and had a weight disadvantage in the rematch, and you want to call that more of a legit win than cotto over margs gtfo. As for Mayweather I believe Castillo did enough to win that 1st fight he LOST and Mayweather schooled him the second time around. Mayweather never fought Cotto so we cant say anything about that because Floyd ducked that one. Cotto also beat guys like Bailey, Malignaggi, Quintana, all at their BEST. His resume imo is better than Castillo's respectively.
It's not even close or debatable, even with Castillo's weight advantage his win over Corrales still greatly outweighs Cotto's over Margarito. Tony was pretty much done.

Cotto's resume is better. Mosley is a HOF'er and the others are not on Castillo's resume, a lot of top Cotto opponents were undefeated as well, pauli, quintanna, torres,JCVD lol

cotto, to be concise: he fought top class opposition in their primes and beat everyone except for pac

castillo faced top class opposition but didnt always win, although one could argue his best wins overshadow some of cotto's best wins

its close but cotto edges it for me

JLC for sure, he lost in a tough close fight to Mayweather who nobody really fights close and lost to Chico in a classic both those loses are not really negatives.

Cotto's loses aren't that way although the Margarito one can be mitigated, but got annihilated by the one true great he faced.

Considering they both fought and beat quality opposition, how they matched up with the best guy they faced speaks volumes about their level.

Beating prime Casamayor, prime Johnston and almost beating Mayweather >>>>>>> Everything Cotto has accomplished in his career.

The only people who could possible think otherwise are those who started watching boxing 2007

You mean the Casamayor who struggled with kid diamond and lost a tooth and nail fight with popo haha dude is garbage and a dirty fighter.

                  almost beating doesnt count buddy.

Cotto's resume is much more well rounded

Why reply to someone who thinks Virgil Hill is greater than Whitaker? That's like replying to people who think Floyd or Pac are GOATS.
