I personally know all 3 of the judges, in fact one of them stopped over my house just days after the fight and I asked him about it. He said, that is the way he saw it and the other judges had it fairly close to what he had.

what NJ can do is not let Stewart & Metcalfe, from Canada, not judge for 1 yr, no suspension but not award them major bouts for there dismal, and obvious, lack of concentration during the bout...

What was your opinion on the fight and who won, Henry?

and why hasnt the Lara/Williams fight been changed into a NC..?
"three judges remain suspended by New Jersey’s State Athletic Control Board. SACB commissioner Aaron Davis suspended Al Bennett, Don Givens and Hilton Whitaker indefinitely July 13.

i agree with you yuppie. butt consider commissioner Aaron Davis almost a hero in taking this step. hopefully other boxing commisions and sanctioning bodys take note!
YOU HEAR THAT JOSE SULIAMAN you pig!

on a similar subject this year , it was nice that ref joe cortez after more bad officiating was benched and kept away from reffing high profile fights.

these are good signs for boxing.

I don't terribly doubt "that's the way he saw it." I'm sure the other judges would say the same thing. It's a simple statement intended to deny corruption. What it doesn't defend is his competence in judging a fight. Whether his words are genuine or not, it was right to suspend him and the other judges.

The fact that there was a serious uproar about the decision, and unprecedented action taken by the head of the SACB, makes it clear that all three judges dropped the ball in a major way. Aaron Davis has shown prudence and guts in addressing an issue that should never be tolerated in boxing, honest mistake or not.
