Ruiz had the mentality the HWT division needed, he'll be missed. Very few other HWTs will actually fight ANYONE and fight ANYWHERE and not RUN! Johnny Ruiz, your in our hearts for always and ever here at boxingscene!

fight anyone? wasnt john the bum ruiz filing a $10 million lawsuit against james toney and sent a letter to the WBA to never let james toney fight him again? is that fighting anyone anywhere and not running? is that the mentality the HW division needed? a lawsuit filing, jabbing and grabbing, whiny ***** of a champion?
he will be missed? by who? its not like john the bum ruiz was the savior of the HW divions (he was in fact the opposite). with ruiz gone, the HW division has gotten rid of one cancer and now has another cancer (but this one can be easily removed).

Yeah but to his credit, he did fight Toney and Tua, then said no mas. He didn't deny rematches or take Toney to court BEFORE he fought. I'm not saying Ruiz was good for the HWT division but his mentality was. Do you really think Rahman or Byrd would have taken the fight?
