    Seriously?

I'll let you in on a secret. Though I'd only go as high as a B, I was influenced by what I perceived to be the feeling on here. I thought "I can't say it's better than Toney-Ruiz, I'll get lynched". Which is ******, because normally I don't give a ****.

You know, I very nearly DID consider that one. I think it was probably the only one off the top of my head that I left out but thought twice about.

At the end of the day they're both fringe contenders at present and the fight wasn't for any real baubles. This wasn't a definitive list of heavyweight fights, just the most IMPORTANT ones. It nearly edged it, but...

Thank you very much, that's appreciated.

I do believe that February's Monte Barrett-Owen Beck and April's Calvin Brock-Jameel McCline fights were important, or at least much more important than Tyson-McBride. Mind you, I covered Tyson-McBride so I cannot claim that it was insignificant by any means.

        Valid choices for the remainder.
I'm about to start a Calvin Brock thread which should explain why I missed him out, as well as the others you mention. My fault, not theirs.

Is the "E" grade a British thing? I had E grades here in the states when I was in high school, but in college they removed the E for the usual F
It might even be that way here now - been a while since I was in school. I meant to ask if you even had the letters system, I wasn't sure.

Cheers for your thoughts, nice one.

I'd probably up Ruiz's to a C+ for effort. He stepped up to Toney who turned out to be juiced. Not only did he make an effort to stop the hugging, but he gave the most competitive performance against him. He took some hits, but he also knocked Toney into the ropes and landed some good shots of his own... something no other heavy has yet done to the master.

Okay, FINALLY got to see Brewster-Krasniqi, and added that to the "Report Card". One of the best bouts of the year, in the division.

Keep up the work, good stuff man. Although I enjoy reading some of your more comical threads. This was a well informed, thought out post on the fights that had any impact on the HWT division. Keep the updates coming and keep up the good work.

Cheers man, I try my best.

I'll have to bump my "Glen Johnson's head looks like a walnut" thread for ya, won't I?

Reffering to the Donald / Valuev fight, Yes you should indeed consider it as it was a world title eliminator however who would you credit. Valuev who was awarded the win and a title fight or Donald who easily wiped the floor with the lumbering ****** and was denied the win based on his postal code!
Who is graded higher based on your card?

This clearly needs more work than I first thought...
