So Lamont Peterson a 140 fighter instead of the Berto/Ortiz winner at 147? Or even JMM, a fighter Pac still can't convincingly beat after 3 fights? Cherry pickers to the fullest. Pac got the Kevin Costner body guard protection in the sport. PROTECT YA FIGHTER AT ALL TIMES.

With Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently getting hit with a 90-day prison sentence for a domestic abuse charge, a number of boxers have been named as possible opponents for Pacquiao's first fight of the new year.

I don't expect the fight to happen because Peterson is a winner and he is not the type of guy to complain, quit or give up. Dude is going to fight like his life depended on it against Pac and if Amir Khan wasn't fouling Lamont Peterson so much then the fight would have been much easier for him. Don't sleep on Lamont but also shouldn't sleep on the fact that Roach and them are clearly trying to pick a fight that they feel Pac can win but Peterson is the kind of fighter that can make it blow up in their face.

As an opponent for Manny/Floyd, you simply cannot compare the 3rd best welter on the planet with a guy who is likely the 3rd/4th best at 140.
How the *** is Peterson "worthy", and yet Ortiz was "not worthy"?

This will be the 2nd fighter Pac made move up to fight him from a division he can clearly make the weight for. Face it fam. Roach and team are cherry pickers but I think it is actually hurting Pac more than helping him. JMM proved that.

Roach seems to be a hard loser...
It's seems to be that roach only wants to revenge the loss of khan, peterson is not seems to be a big challenge to Manny, why don't he pick Sergio Mertinez, Marquez or even the winner of Berto vs Ortiz....
