These are grown men fighting it out against other grown men to be the best in the world, when only a select few do become the best in the world. **** get's said, but this is Boxing. You think that other boxers calling out the best in the world has only started happening recently? It's been happening from day one of the sport and it's a dog eat dog sport. Of course you and i may think a certain boxer is wrong to call out someone who we think is on a another level to him but we have to remember, this guy is a professional who wants to be the best in the world.

I have never understood why so many people take what boxers say so seriously. These are grown men who aren't looking to make any friends, they are looking to be the number one man in their divison and be the number one man in the sport. And to be fair to Khan, even though he has said some disrespectfull things about FMJ, if you look he also clearly has a massive amount of respect for him.

In Khan's case, i think we can all agree that he is not a very intelligent person, but so are so many boxers. Of course you get a few who break the mould but it's exactly that, a mould already been set. They say stuff to get their name involved at the very top, but come on, we as boxing fans should know better than everyone that words dont mean anything in Boxing!

Wether older boxing fans would appreciate Khan or not, i do not know, but one thing i can guarentee you is they certainly would not right him off the way our generation has done even if he already had 5 losses under his name after the career he has so far had at the age of 25 years old.
idc about the disrespect, thats all fun and good. khan is just not a very appealing personality. he feels entitled. yet he has yet to prove he is what he says he is. instead he looks for the easy routes and he comes out and says that exactly what hes doing. say wat u want, but it would be hard for anyone to respect a guy who talks so much, yet cant back it up and who whines and cries when things dont go their way. sure hes a champion, but theres nothing spectacular about him at all. **** i prefer carl froch to this crybaby.

Its baffling how obsessed Khan is with getting this mayweather fight, even though he just got beat by Peterson and has virtually no chance with that non-existant defense.

Shouldn't talk about things you don't know. Since you are not Floyd and most likely you have never been there, you can't speak on how it will affect a person. Actors Charles Dutton and Tim Allen did 15 years each and came out to become stars in Hollywood and Robert Downey Jr been in and out of jail for YEARS. It's up to the individual on how he takes in his time and 90 days ain't much time. You're just a pathetic loser who is getting off on Floyd going to jail. Your hate is so transparent. Amir Khan ain't keeping it real, he is just showing how much of an opportunist he is. A blood sucker who prays for others down fall to boost himself up and that's why he got beat for assuming.

The only mention i have made about respecting Khan is, that first and foremost - He is a professional Boxer. You and I both know that anyone who ever steps into a ring should get their due respect, as again we both know anyone who steps into a boxing ring is putting their life on the line.

But as a fighter, respect, that it down to one person and one person only, you. You have the right to respect who you want and why you want to. I am not saying anything about respect apart from his due respect he and any other boxer deserves. What i am talking about is the writing off of professional boxers because they lose, in this case a former unified world champion who has not even reached his peak yet. How many greats from the past era's lost fights? Did you think they were written off by everyone after a defeat? No. It was, dust yourself down and come back stronger. But because Boxing has become such a sport where a defeat is such a major thing, we even have professional boxers taking the cowards way out and doing stuff like appealing decisions. We are so quick to rightly criticise a boxer for doing something like that, yet we forget that it is because of us that they are taking routes like this. Do you think if a loss wasn't ''GAME OVER'' in the sport of boxing, Khan would have gone down such a route as the one he has done? Or would he have done what the great warriors in the past would do?

Boxing has become this sport where a loss is too dangerous, which is why we as a sport cant get the ****ing top two in the world to face one another. If Floyd was to lose to Manny Pacquiao, how many would right his whole career off and call him this and that? Forgetting what he has achieved throughout his whole career and judging him on that one fight? Same for Manny. But that's just how we boxing fans have moulded the sport, it's a damn shame but i guess, what the **** can be done about it now? Nothing.

But this fight won't happen now. Khan will probably lose to Peterson again(Possibly worse) now that the book on Khan is out, and if we want to be frank, he doesn't have the skills to compete at the elite level.

Forget Mayweather and Pacquiao. Tim Bradley and Brandon Rios BOTH would beat Amir Khan bad. As would the likes of Andre Berto and maybe even a Victor Ortiz.

Khan is the most overrated fighter boxing has seen in a long time.
              I concur.......

You wouldn't know. You are a person that is posting on a internet forum, just like me. He is a professional boxer who wants to be the best in the world, if either of us could understand that we probably wouldn't be posting on internet forums and maybe doing something worthwhile with our time.

Being surprised at a pro boxer wanting to fight the best, so what if he lost, he still wants to fight the best. Go down to your local boxing gym once, and ask the boxers training there who their dream opponent would be. That should teach you a lesson about boxing, and maybe then you could start to undrestand this truly great sport better.

It's quite hilarious how Khan constantly talks about Floyd saying things like "He makes a lot of mistakes now" LMAO, NO.. Khan YOU MAKE A LOT OF MISTAKES NOW! Did Khan not watch his last fight? Dude has no inside game and the blueprint is out. He talks as if Floyd is some 34 yo amateur or something, lil Floyd has forgot more about boxing than Khan will ever know and thats a FACT!

Amir Khan is talking about fighting the best only because he thinks the best will not be at his best. That's what us people who use common sense calls an opportunist. An ambulance chaser but in the sport of boxing. How can any REAL individual respect a punk like that?
