The queston is why Martinez has not fought Pirog or Sturn?? But to tell you the truth Chavez jr. has been protected, but havent all cashcows?? De La Hoya fought a bunch of smaller and older fighters in his career. Paquiao has been fighting washed up and old fighters at catch weights, Cotto has not fought an elite fighter since Pacquio almost killed him.. Chavz jr. gets a lot of crap but he is getting better ad will surprise a lot of people soon.. Kid didnt have an amateur career by the way...

People support there favorite fighters when it comes to ducking just to keep there fighters on a winning streak, instead of wanting there fighter to do better and have a better legacy.

Martinez has no reason to duck Pirog in my opinion though he very well may be. A fight with Jr is about money. He has earned the right to a big payday and gtdamn he's pushing 40. Its a race to the cash.

Personally I believe that Canelo is more protected & Chavez jr is actually a better fighter than him. But yes, Chavez wants no part of Martinez, just like Martinez cares nothing about any other 160lb champ. If he's not going to fight any of them. Return to 154.

I was once high on Martinez, but it's wearing off, he is complaining & taking easy fights just like Floyd & Pacman. The only difference is he's the only 1 dropping down the pfp list while Floyd sucker punches his way to remaining pfp#2 & Pacman is living off a gift win over the smaller, weaker, slower, but more skilled Marquez.
