If Benitez uses his natural size and stays at a distance he probable wins a VERY close decision. But thats not really the way Benitez fights which leads me to believe Chavez wins a comfortable decision.

Benitez by wide UD at 147.

At 140 I still lean on Benitez but Benitez was just a young kid at 140. An expierences Chavez might cause him some problems.

I still lean on Benitez, though.

Such a skilled fighter, one of the most skillfull fighter I ever saw.

Roberto Duran said that WB is the slickest fighter he has ever seen. I'd Duran cant beat him I don't see Chavez beating him.

Benitez via WIDE UD, Benitez was too slick and crafty.

That Duran was better than a prime Chavez Sr. An older verson of Duran than the one Benitez beat gave Hagler a hell of a fight at 160. so go figure.

Benitez wins by a wide UD.

Chavez was very good but only when he could impose his physicality and body shots at lower weights. He wasn't very effective at 147 and I think Benitez had the cageyness to hang on the inside and pick his spots at range to win on points.
