JCC should have fought Tito in 93

That would have been a great fight, JCC still had something in the tank during that time. In my opinion his legacy would have been greater had he faced Tito because it would have been a war. That chin would have been cracked for the 1rst time but his legacy even with a lose would have been enhanced. Deep down Chavez knew to stay away from a young up and coming KO artist in Tito. Tito BY KO in 8rds. Chavez get stopped in the ropes while he is out on his feet ala Yori Boy Campas....

I didn't know they offered Chavez the fight, it made sense since the were both promoted by Don King and with a win over Chavez, Tito would have became really big at that time.

Do you know in what year did Chavez ducked him ??

I dont count that as a duck, but it was in 93 right before chavez fought Oscar, and in 94 after he fought Oscar

It was actually in '94, Don King's ambitious plan was for Chavez to defend his titles against Randall, Giovanni Parisi, Meldrick Taylor, Juan Martin Coggi and challenging Felix Trinidad later that year, King had Whitaker not on Chavez' list and Tito was an option to go for a fourth world title at 147.

I was thinking of favoring an up-and-coming Trinidad to beat an aging Chavez, Tito might put the nail in the coffin for JCC had they fought around '94-'95.

I'm happy he didn't fight Trinidad.

Oscar busted him up good, but I feel Trinidad would have damaged him permanently.
