You think i'm NOT including the Lewis bout? That would just be fibbing & i don't fib... Outslugging doesn't mean outcutting.. joff... it means throwing & landing way more power shots & overall punches than your opponent. Vitali landed nearly 60 more shots than Lewis did while Lewis landed ONE more cut opening shot than Vitali & while that one shot ultimately led to the stoppage of the fight in no way did it make LL the better slugger that night.. just made him the luckiest fighter that evening & he ultimately paid the price by being FORCED to retire from the game.

Ok.. i'll man up.. perhaps my meaning was the 10 best KO artists in heavyweight history.. which includes slugging... now look at the list subjectively & tell me any of those 10 aren't good choices WITHOUT bias yourself.

100 singles, then landing a home run is the definition of a boxer/puncher.

Slugging is slugging. Home Run or nothing...

If you add up 100 singles to one home run.. whos's slugging % is going to be higher? Slugging % is defined by ANY time you get a hit.. whether it's a single.. double triple or homerun.. in this case a ko punch..... it all adds up to get the desired result... sure a homerun gets it done quicker.. but like i said.. sometimes if the homerun ain't there.. you got to find other ways to score runs & win the bout. As long as you do it... singles hitters that don't get homeruns in the end are boxers.. doesn't matter when the homerun comes or how far it's hit. all counts as one run being scored.. One dimensional thinking is all you're doing.. you're all about the highlights & not about the final score.

I just love the fact that Shannon Briggs somehow got into the honorable mentions for any top ten list of all time. Doesn't matter that he wasn't a slugger, or that he doesn't deserve to be rated even slightly close to the top ten for anything, it's just funny. I think only a Vitali fan could put Briggs into an ATG list of anything.
