    your list is way off
Slugger doesn't necessarily mean brawler.... brawling is one aspect of slugging.. throwing & landing power shots while getting stoppages is what defines slugger for me.... Slugging % so to speak is a fighter who lands & throws bombs effectively while manhandling his opponent. A brawler is Evander Holyfield.. Ray Mercer.. one who goes toe to toe regardless of ammunition... these fighters on the list might not all be brawlers & don't always go toe to toe (mostly because there opposition would be committing suicide) but they have every weapon in there arsenal to slug you with & get you out of there if you make a mistake.

Then you must be correct.. Pac is the #1 counter puncher. You must be smoking some serious hallucination.. if you don't think Vitali Klitschko qualifies as the alltime slugger in boxing history.. For starters he's the ONLY prominent boxer in history NEVER even remotely coming close to being outslugged in a fight... That's one of the main reasons he holds the alltime heavyweight knockout %.... he literally slugs you into submission UNTIL you can't continue fighting... if that's NOT the epitome of the number one alltime slugger.. i don't know what is.

Let me ask the forum.... what you think Slugging means in baseball when slugging % comes into play? Does it not mean one who gets the most out of his basehits? Hitting the homerun is the most effective way to higher your slugging efficiency.. In boxing that means how effective your punches are & do they lead to the knockout in an efficient manner. While one could say that this would favor the one punch KO specialists.. you have to take the overall cumulative effect of the punches you've landed in a fight & what it did to your opponent.. One PUNCH ko's are the most cost efficient... but show me a fighter who every fight ends it with one shot & i'll show you one of those games on boxing nintendo.

Is it a coincidence that your list is made up entirely of HWs?

YES.... there's no coincidence.. i consider the 10 best sluggers in history to be 200 lbs & above... this isn't a pound for pound list... can these fighters outslug anyone in a head to head matchup from the lower weight classes? That's the criteria...

Mike Tyson should be No. 1 on that list with Rocky Marciano being a close second.

Tyson's not the hardest puncher, but his style was the epitome of a slugger in boxing.

Wlad, Lennox and Vitali don't belong on that list at all. They're boxer/punchers, if anything.

Oh.. so you consider sluggers to be of one dimension only.. Hit or miss homerun hitters who only swing for the fences every time.. A slugger to me... swings on all cylinders.. does EVERYTHING in the book to get you out of there... if it's 50 jabs & a right hand bomb... that's effective slugging.. throwing a combo to put you away... 100 arm punches (singles) & then landing a homerun is still slugging..one dimensional hit or miss homerun or strikeout fighters don't always get there man because they have only one effective strategy while others who are more diversified in there arsenal... jabs to set you up... they eventually land the homerun punch with much more frequency & ease.

100 singles, then landing a home run is the definition of a boxer/puncher.

Slugging is slugging. Home Run or nothing...
