    I wouldn't be shocked if Berto could punch harder but they way they fight Maidana loads up on heavy shots more of the time and Berto has more range of punches so they aren't always so loaded which makes it look like Maidana punches harder.

      Whats with fighters today, top fighters too and their inability to rumble on the inside!? Amir Khan, Manny Pacquaio and Berto all spring to mind

      They need to take a leaf out of Mayweather, Andre Ward and Lamont Peterson's book and work on that ***** in the gym, its a big part of PRO Boxing and a joy to watch, ***** Berto go watch some old James Toney fights man

        not really

        Quintana was horribly inactive having only one fight since 2008 before he fought Berto and his first fight back at 146 since he lost to Pwill via 1st rd KO

        Freddy was IMO a perfect temple shot that he couldn't recover from

        Cayo had never been hurt or down prior to Maidana

        Petrov had never been stopped prior to Maidana

        you keep mentioning Corley as some sort of "well if he can't stop Corley" but did you know since 2007 only two men have stopped Corley?

        Freddy Hernandez and Lucas Matthysse both fairly hard hitting guys. Not hard hitting prospect Dulorme nor what some consider the hardest puncher in the game Randall Bailey stopped Corley

        I saw the Corley fight and it looked like Chino spent more time losing weight rather than prepping for a fight. He had no energy after about the 6th round

        also I think you mentioned Khan but since his move to 140 only one fighter IMO has really hurt Khan and that was Maidana

        in the purest sense I think Maidana is a harder puncher with Berto using his speed to create power

          Don't forget the Klit Brothers...they can't do squat inside either.

          I blame the trainers.

            Doesn't make sense from physics pov because speed is power.

            Force = mass x velocity
            I neevr understood this, some guys are heavier and faster but dont hit as hard, can someone explain this, cause it doesnt make sense. For instance i hit pretty hard, im not that fast or heavy either

              I don't think he hits harder the Berto but he was able to hit Ortiz more consistently than Berto did.

              Also consider that Maidana has better stamina and is more durable than Berto.
