So what's the comparison you trying to make with Bute?
That Trinidad is perceived as an ATG at 147 when he missed most of the best fighters there MAY be just a bit faulty, because he was in a similar situation Bute was in during the Super 6.

Why are people mentioning his wins over Vargas and Joppy? those weren't at 147, which is the period I'm speaking about.

Anyways, like I was saying, before I was rudely interrupted, the fact that TS is comparing Trinidad's run at WW to that of Bute's SMW record is absolutely rediculous.

@ Turbotime, what were you even thinking?

Because, he has wins over the likes of Blocker, Camacho, Campas, Carr, Whitaker, and Oscar.

And, he's around the top 20-25 ATG's at WW.

Can't compare that to Bute resume man.

If you weren't so obviously mentally handicapped, I would make you my b1tch on here. But I'm not a bully and I don't take advantage of the weak....

I didn't realize how much of a..... Let's say "handicapped" person that you were. For that, I apologize for everything I've ever said or done to you... I was always taught not to pick on those that didn't know any better and rode the short yellow bus to school. We're suppose to act as if they don't exist and we don't notice the obvious problem....

With that said, in the words of Patti Labelle, "Somebody loves you baby", it's going to be alright. I will pray for you my son.

I'd rate Felix and ATG, but he's a little overrated by some people I think, in the sense that some people on here call him the greatest WW of all-time. There's some people on here that say he just walks through Floyd, Manny, prime Whitaker, Mosley, etc. Felix was good, has some really good wins, but he's not as good as Ray Leonard, who I'd say was the greatest WW of all-time.

                  Felix Trinidad notable fights:

1993: Maurice Blocker- W KO2 (Won IBF Welterweight title)
                  1994: Hector Comancho- W UD12
                  1994: Luis Ramon Campas- W TKO4
                  1994: Oba Carr- W TKO8
                  1995: Larry Barnes- W TKO4
                  1999: Pernell Whitaker- W UD12
                  1999: Hugo Pineda- W KO4
1999: Oscar De La Hoya- W MD12 (Won WBC Welterweight title)
2000: David Reid- W UD12 (Won WBA Super Welterweight title)
                  2000: Mamadou Thiam- W TKO3
2000: Fernando Vargas- W TKO12 (Won IBF Super Welterweight title)
                  2001: William Joppy- W TKO5
                  2001: Bernard Hopkins- L TKO12
                  2004: Ricardo Mayorga- W TKO8
                  2005: Winky Wright- L UD12
                  2008: Roy Jones Jr.- L UD12

His win over a prime Oscar, though it was controversial, really validated Felix Trinidad as the best WW of his era, and one of the top WW of all-time. He's not as good as Leonard, and I would love to see a prime Trinidad vs. a prime Whitaker, but he is an ATG. I'd put Felix around the top 20-25 ATG greats. He's a little overrated by some of his fans on here, who say he would have beaten Floyd, Manny, Mosley, Leonard, etc with ease, but he is an ATG. The only time we ever saw Felix get touched up and beaten when he was still pretty good was against Hopkins, another ATG.

His wins over Comancho, Campas, and De La Hoya were GREAT wins. His wins over Carr, Whitaker, and Vargas were good wins, but Pernell was way past his prime at that point. People forget that Vargas was unbeaten, looking like a beast, when Felix beat him. That was a good win. Besides those, his wins over Blocker, Barnes, Pineda, Reid, Thiam, Joppy, and Mayorga were decent wins.

But the real question here is we're comparing Trinidad at WW to that of Bute now. That's the question.
