But how does what Tito did at WW compare to what Bute's doing now, is the question?

Depends what you consider an ATG.

Trinidad is a Top 20-25 WW so if you consider that to be an ATG WW than he's an ATG WW.

Some people only consider the Top 10-15 at the weight to be ATG's at that particular weight.

Clearly one of the best fighters ever in one of the most talent packed of divisions, an authentic ATG.

Top 25-30 at a minimum for most people with a case for higher ranking IMO and in an original 8 weight class no less

Also a personal favourite of mine

I'm sure I could squeeze him into a top 20 list, depends on what you consider an ATG like Jab n Dan said.

Well, it didn't take a tournament in the 90's for the champs to fight one another, but when they did for those 4+ years Trinidad was on the sidelines while Quartey, Lopez, Rivera, Delahoya, Whitaker, etc. were fighting each other, and Trinidad was defending his titles against fringe contenders like Waters and Lueshing.

              So yes, it's quite similar.

Not the same!! BuTe up unti this point has not fought any real theats at his weight.. Kessler, Dirrell,Abraham and Ward.. Tito at least fought Oscar aT his prime and Fernando Vagas who at a that time were better than anyone Bute has fough!!

You have comprehension problems. I stated a clear time period for both fighters I chose to discuss and not a comparative breakdown of resumes over a career in it's entirety.

A screen name change for you is in order

No it's not similar at all.

Who didn't Tito deserve to fight? Oscar? Why? He had questionable wins over Quartey and Whitaker.

Whitaker? Why? He had questionable win and looked bad against Rivera, while Hurtado was his last hurrah. But, had a questionable loss to Oscar.

Quartey? Had a questionable draw against Lopez that should have went his way, had a questionable lost to Oscar.

Lopez? Had a questionable draw with Quartey.

Rivera? Lost to Oscar, and caught a slippin Whitaker.

The argument that people make of Ward and Bute, that Ward has earn the right to fight whoever he wants next. Not only cuz' of his run and schedule of fights. But, also on how clearly he won that makes him clearly the #1 guy in the division the best guy in the division. He doesn't have to fight Bute next. He earn that right.

No one was dominating anything in WW division at that time...No one earned the right to fight whoever they want it at the WW division at that time.

Unless you want to count Oscar cuz' he was the Golden Boy.

And, again TIto 93-94 run is better than Bute whole resume.
