I have to agree with Bushbaby once again. Pac could have fought Mosley in 2009 straight after his win against Margarito, but Roach instead told Mosley that he was too good. So they fought a damaged Cotto instead at a catchweight.

I don't understand how anybody could say Shane was the same guy in those fights.

Mosley was actually trying to BEAT Mayweather...

When Shane lost to Forrest it took him YEARS to get his mojo back.He was a flinching..twitching..shell of himself.

Truth be told..Shane looked shot 6 years ago against David Estrada..

He gradually worked his way back to the top and capped it off by destroying the "most feared man in boxing"...

Floyd beat Shane back to that twitching and flinching Mosley we saw against Raul Marquez..

Mayweather could of fought roided mosley circa 2000-2003. Imagine the credit he would of got then? But he fought 2010 mosley. Man shouldn't quote dates after drinking,

            Seriously...

Mosley is the one that wanted no parts of Mayweather back then.

Merchant asked him about Mayweather and said he had a toothache..

Even if Floyd did duck Mosley circa 2000-2003...that still doesn't excuse Pac from doing the same thing when Shane destroyed Margarito and called his azz out IN HIS OWN GYM....

Shane called his azz out IN THE WILD CARD GYM

            "Shane..you're just too good"....Freddy Roach...

That's what they told Mosley the WW Champion..

The Shane that fought PAc was a better Shane then the one that fought Mayweather. Just as Emmanuel Steward - who said that Shane was overtrained for Mayweather. He was in Camp for a January showdown with Andre berto - that fight fell through due to the tsunami in Haiti - Shane continued to train for his May 1st fight with Mayweather. Manny Stewart said Shane would have lost regardless, but his overtraining ffed him up in the mayweather fight.

In the PAc fight, shane was well rested and had a proper training camp. So there you have it.

Mayweather called out Mosley then, but Mosley said he had a sore tooth. You should really think about what you write after smoking ganja.

If Mosley were prime, Mayweather would never fight him. Unless he knew that Mosley had a sprained shoulder or some other injury which would give him a good edge. That was always his goal.

Mosley was just being interviewed a few days after a tough fight. He said that he had definitely arranged to go on vacation with his family, and spend some times with them, and also he had a loose front tooth for which he needed an appointment with the dentist. As he was saying this, he reached up his left hand to grip his left upper front tooth.
                    ...
He did not say a single word about a toothache. It was a cosmetic job. Fictions with a basis of truth sound great (and have been repeated on this board umpteen times)......until the real truth is quoted.

The only difference is that floyd almost got killed in the 2nd round, whereas pac defeated mosley in a way that had never been seen before.
