Was khan set up to fail ?

First of all the title fight was held in Washington which is Petersons hometown

then we hear that the referee is a native of washington so it should come as no surprise that he seemed to be on petersons side...

what in the world were goldenboy thinking putting Khan into that situation ?

now Amir Khan has lost his titles Lamont Peterson says let him cry -

i would like to hear peoples opinions on this whole situation ??????

    Thanks guys

I thought he was set up to win and build up his American fan base. Peterson isn't a big name to the general boxing fans that's why they put it in his home town to sell the fight. Now more of the general public know who he is they can sell the rematch a lot better this time in a place like Vegas.

It was meant to be an easy fight. Clearly Team han were less concerned about this fight than fighting Maidana. Khan was set up to fail because had never been taught to fight on the inside. That was the real reason for his failure.

exactly. plus he has bad footwork for a guy with quickfeet(yes there is a difference), he sucks boxing off the back foot, and his defense is weak. freddy roach and his all out offensive style just are not good for Khan, he needs a change.

Lamont does have other options. He has Bradley or even a Pacquiao fight out there like Roach says. If I was Peterson I would rather go after Bradley to A) avenge a loss and B) unify and become the JWW lineal champ.

Or if he can get a Pac Man fight, go for it. Khan should be the third option.

i agree Amir was exposed on the inside as he has no inside game whatsoever which i find strange considering how much time these guys spend in the gym training.....you would think they would SPOT HIS WEAKNESSES and work on them i mean in the peterson fight he chose to run whenever lamont was working up close either that or he would push him back to a distance where khan could let shots fly again it wasnt pretty

only a crazy guy wouldn't want to fight in vegas. i think khan is still the best option for peterson unless he can get bradley (and a nice bag of money to go along) or pac/floyd. khan is also the most beatable.

Actually he's from VA, just realized he refs some fights near here... ****... i should go see him sometime, lol.
My opinion, location is their fault, they had last say in it and wanted it to expand Khan's "empire".
Khan seriously needs to stop crying though, it's getting sad.... I mean even Peterson is starting to get annoyed.
Judges were fair with the exception of the one who had it 115-110... really?
Point deductions were fair, but they should have been for the other things he was doing instead of pushing.
Also, Peterson is right to let Khan cry... he's spent almost all his time complaining about his fight on how he was "robbed"...
