The funny thing is I don't think the Filipinos realize they have pretty much made Mayweather the 2nd most famous athlete in their country.

i didnt think ppl could hate at that depth, magnitude, and mass. also the dedication and joy they take in his failures as a nation of men is psychotic. i truely believe that pacquiao is divine to them and mayweather is an evil black wizard to them. its truely ****ed up.

          B+/A-

Floyd had a very good resume. He always fought opponents who have had some of the most important victories of their careers, and many were top ten / five P4P or otherwise they were the best of their class at the moment of the fight... unlike Pacquiao.
The only fighters Floyd doesn't fought were Arum's fighters, because Bob was afraid and because he doesn't want to do business with Floyd

If he fight Pac or Martinez... definitely A

For this day and time, I would give Floyd a B. Who is really out there for him to fight? I agree, he should have fought Kosta Tyzu( Have no idea how to spell his name), Cotto, and Margarito. But his career is not over, and to see the boxers that those guys have lost to, makes me feel that Floyd would have beat them easily. Floyd can still get an A because his career is far from being over. I think he will be one of those guys who lose most of his earnings and continue to fight on. If that's the case, he will be forced to fight the best that's out there. If Floyd fights Manny, Bradley, Peterson, Martinez, and even Berto, when its over he would get an A+.( That's if he wins)Floyd is a gifted fighter, but I will never put him in the same catagory with Leonard, Hagler, and Ali or Robinson. Those guys were just special. They fought the best and fought wars in the ring. They took risks and that's what makes you an all time great.

Up until maybe 3 years ago, Manny would get a B+. Manny has fought the wars and he has fought other hall of famers. Its a shame that Bob Arum took him down this weak path of late, but it was best for business. Manny has fought Barrera, Morales,Marquez, De La Hoya, and Cotto. Truthfully after Floyd, there is no one else for him to fight. He should retire. Bradley, Khan, Martinez, and someone like Kirkland probably would beat him at this stage. He's not as gifted as Floyd so that's why his fights are more entertaining. But Arum has been very careful with his opponents and that's why his weaknesses have not been completely revealed. But believe me, Floyd, Bradley, and Peterson, and Khan would reveal them. I think Martinez is too big and skilled and would simply crush him. He's had a brilliant career, so fight Floyd and get out. There's no shame in losing to Floyd. If its competitive it would lead to a lucrative rematch.

These guys simply pick and chose too much for me to put them in the top 20 of all time. I would love to see Floyd challenge himself like Leonard did when he fought Hagler, and fight Martinez. I think Bradley, Khan, and Peterson would push him to a level that would make him great. It takes good solid diverse fighters to make guys like Manny and Floyd rise to the occasion. Lets hope one day it stops being so much about business and starts being about wanting to achieve greatness!!!

If Floyd Mayweather has a B-D grade resume, then what do these other fighters like Cotto and Mosley that people calling future HoFers have? D- or is that being too generous?

This thread won't hold tru value because most on here weren't around when he was at SFW. There is a reason why most experts have him as the top 1 or 2 SFW's ever. All those names that people glance over now were seen as big fights or atleast good fights background then. His SFW resumed is by far the most underrated thing in boxing right now

I think you could argue a few other guys currently fighting would be undefeated also. DLH would be, Cotto would be, Pac would be, and there are probably others. So many current boxers with better resumes then him but a loss or two takes away from them I guess.
Yet you show hero worship to a guy in Maidana that was given a gift win against Floyd's left overs.......***in 6 years latter. Tell the truth shame the devil.

Even the worst haters cant realistically go below C+. I never thought Id live to see the day when a fighter was hated as much or more than Ali. But 2011 and here we are.
