anyways the division is interesting, but whats the point of interesting if no1 fights each other? lets see what happens next year tho.
actually I was agreeing with - martinez likely does beat all those guys. But you never know, undoubtedly there would be a style he would struggle with sooner or later. Maybe Lara gives him problems, who knows really. But unless Martinez officially goes back down to 154, which doesn't seem likely any time soon (has Macklin next then chasing Chavez I assume), I'll leave him out of the discussion.

I think the division will blow up so to speak in 2012. Again we already got Kirkland vs Molina which is a very solid fight, Canelo supposedly is game at fighting his mandatory (by July I believe). Hopefully Lara can get in the mix as well. Should be fun

The one thing I worry about is cotto, being that he's with Top Rank and most all the top guys at 154 are golden boy, so that obviously can create problems.

You can say he wins by default but It should be well respected thoe. He desever the recantion as the top. The division is what is and we have to wait and see how it pans out.

Stop being a smart ass because it doesn't fit your hater ass. You don't hear buffer say 10KO and 12TKO. Yes it was a TKO but on the record it says KO just ****ing deal with it and put ice on you back side.

Not sure if its already been suggested in the thread but imagine a tourney with

            Kirkland
            Canelo
            Williams
            Molina
            Lara
            Trout/Vanes/ margarito/cintron/bundrage or whoever

Somehow get Cotto and Martinez into the final plans and it could make good tv i reckon

he's number 1 because he's popular! alvarez is number 2 because he's popular! did they deserve it? nope. bundrage has a much better resume than both of them but **** him he's not popular. enjoy your number 8 rating!

When was the last time Martinez even fought at 154? like 3 years ago? He's a middleweight now, get over it.

Its like calling Pac #1 at 140 because he beat Hatton for the lineal title, which happened in more recent time then Sergio's last fight at 154

Yea, he's just number one by default.

Honestly, if Cotto and Canelo fought(#'s 1 and 2 in the ring's rankings) I still wouldn't believe either one of them would deserve the Ring belt.

If Kirkland beats Molina he would have a solid argument to be #1

Wins over Vera, Julio, Angulo and now Molina.

                    Solid Resume at 154.
