I love watching him fight, especially when it's against high-calibre fighters. The Kessler and Froch performances were fantastic.

Ward is garbage. Would rather watch Tyson feed his pidgeons.

        He's really good.

But his fights do all look exactly the same - that's a problem. He's too efficent and he is not going to fix what is not broke.

Bute is a big fight for boxing but I think a lot of people will be secretly rooting for Bute because he's more explosive.

You can say winning is all that counts but at the end of the day it is prize fighting so this is not strictly true. It would help if Ward has a tiny bit of charisma, which he doesn't seem to have - certainly not in front of the cameras.

Ya alot of people said mayweather was boring and he wouldnt be a superstar because of his style and look where hes at. The highest paid boxer in the sport. Its called boxing not fighting so if foch wants guys to stand in front of him with no skill then maybe he should go to the ufc!!! And just like mayweather he makes extroardinary fighter look ordinary so thats why people who dont know shyt about boxing say hes boring!!!

Now you bring up an interesting point. For me, Mayweather has never been interesting for me to watch, unless he is fighting an aggressive opponent. I never knew who Mayweather was until I was watching him one night in a very so-so fight. And Merchant suddenly said, "I don't know of any other good boxer, with all the ability to stink out the house every time he fights, half-empty arenas, and have people walking out in the middle. And the camera followed severalpeople walking out during this fight. So I watched for him after that, and saw what he did. Then I read about how carefully he picked his opponents, that his
Beains Trust" was very careful etc... I saw this a few times, and they also mentioned Oscar and HIS Brains Trust........

Just today I saw a short sparring bout with Mayweather Senior, and saw immediately that the style was exactly the same as his son's. So for me anyway, THAT questionis settled.

I'd much rather watch James Toney in his better days, as well as Whitaker, they not only were clever, full of technical moves, but also were offensively minded when needed. W Klitschko was very offensively minded in his earlier days and not defensive at all, as if he didn't need it. Only after forgetting his fundamentals and getting TKO.d by Sanders did he begin to fight taller. I don't count the Brewster fight because there was definitely something wrong there.

so-called boxing fans who say ward, mayweather, etc. are boring are like the so-called film fans who say resnais, ozu, etc. are boring.

                philistines.

That frock Johnson fight wasn't exactly that exciting either.

The problem is when you are so far advance then your comp you are considered boring. Who fault is it that fighter b cant stop or change what fighter A is doing.

Imagine MJ shaving points to keep the GM close to make it exciting.
