Boxing is a global sport, there is no need to have hateful USA vs. UK or Mexico vs. Phillipines, etc. I respect fighters from all countries and personally I think the less dominant one country is, the better it is for the sport. I like to see exciting rivalries between countries, that give us great fights. The only disparaging comments I made about UK fighters were against Haye, Khan and Froch. They are just pompous arrogant bigmouths who's bites did not back up their barks. Calzaghe and Hatton were great UK fighters, they talked a little trash sure but they were OK guys, I love Joe C, I thought he was superb. I like Cleverly as well, and I think Benn and Eubanks were great. I just could not stomach the mouth of the three I mentioned. Froch needed that boxing lesson to humble him some and I think it worked. Haye and Khan also needed those crucial losses to dull their tongues some. Khan is still screaming robbery and while I do question the 2nd point deduction, it does not change the fact that Lamont walked him down the entire fight, ****** him with hard shots and made him run. That is a fact, not an illusion. As far as Guerrero, he is very talented and has great fundamentals. I think he is a quality fighter, can he beat Floyd or Manny, probably not but I respect him nonetheless. We will see what comes out of his next fight, that will tell us more.

He should earn his way to a big money fight if he wants one so bad....maybe take on Matthysee and the winner fights the Maidana-Alexander winner.

Well said...Any true boxing fan will appreciate the skill from any skilled boxer no matter what country he is from..The childish behaviour on this forum is some of the worst ive ever seen and ive been on the net since the early 90's...This forum badly needs some mods that are active and enforce some rules around here.
