The fact is that if every player in the NFL and NBA had dedicated themselves to boxing the way the Klitschko's have they very well may be champs right now. But, you have to take a couple of things into consideration:

For starters, the Klitschko's have been fighters all of their lives. The skill they have cannot just be accuired by anyone. There are probably very very few NBA or NFL players that have the physique to match the Klitschko's who have even half of the intelligence they have. Believe it or not, that plays a bigger part of the situation that you give credit for.

Secondly, the average heavyweight champ in history has been smaller than the Klitschko's therefore meaning that the larger men don't usually have the coordination needed to be a boxer. If this wasn't so then the fighters would have been larger for a century seeing as how huge salaries for the NBA, MLB and NFL organizations just got to crazy numbers starting about 30 years ago or so.

While I hope this doesn't break your heart, I hope it does talk some sense back into your head.

There are thousands of NFL and NBA players that have their physique and they don't even lift weights as much as the Klit bros do, it's all natural. These guys are naturally heavy, they have huge frames.

Here are the rosters to some College basketball teams (not all of them), just click "players".
Most of these guys are 18-21 years old, very young. It'll display their height and weights.
