As long as Manny leaves everything up to Bob Arum, I doubt this fight ever happens. Floyd is returning May 5, 2012, there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with that date, it's probably the best date to maximize profits by having great Latino undercards.

Hey Pac fans, ask yourselves this for a second.....if Arum was really intent and truthful about wanting to make Mayweather-Pacquiao happen (Ariza and Team Pac don't think he is), do you think he'd openly disagree about a simple date and venue, which is probably the easiest date and venue to make the fight happen??? Floyd already has May 5, 2012 at the MGM locked up, if Arum wanted the fight, why publicy disagree about the date and venue non-stop???

Arum's excuses on May 5, 2012 at the MGM Grand not being the right date:

1. Manny's cut won't heal in time.
2. Floyd is facing a court hearing, if there's a trial, no fight.
3. I want to build a new 45,000 seat arena in Vegas for the fight, May is too early, June is better.
4. Floyd took a plea deal for reduced sentencing, May is too early.
5. Floyd and Manny aren't Hispanic, why Cinco De Mayo?

2. Having a court trial would most likely deter some investors from participating.
3. Floyd wants 100 mil. $ not Pac. Bigger venue = more tickets sold = more gate.

Golden Boy out the picture will give Bob and Mayweather an incredible amount of dough probably and extra $30 mill to split between them at least. So in the end everyone was wrong. Pac or May aren't scared Bob just wanted more money..........
