No he's not scared. He just doesn't want to fight him right now. It's perfect understandable of him wanting a gimme after the run his been in.

However, the fight is a must for it to happen. Hopefully by the end of 2012 it gets made.

Ward just had a tough 2 and a half years while Bute sat back and fought mandatory bums.Ward should be allowed a few easy fights once his hand is better (remember,he broke it fighting Froch).

Let Bute have a few fights against Froch, Kessler, Dirrell, etc then the fight should have brewed long enough.

If Ward made Froch and Kessler look flat,it should be interesting to see how he makes Bute look.

Arthur Abraham off of 2 losses and Allan Green arent exactly good competition.

Froch & Kessler are good competition, but Allan Green sucks, Abraham is limited and off of 2 losses.

        Bute beat Johnson.

Ward hasnt exactly been having a lot of hard fights, only kessler & froch. abraham & green were jokes.

Bika was a very rough fight.

          AA is a dangerous puncher.

          Of course Kessler and Froch.

Green was the only somewhat easy fight.

He had Bika in there in a fight that wasn't part of the S6 and that was a tough fight for him.

Matter of fact Bika gave him a tougher fight than anyone in the S6 did.

Ya, and funny enough Bute beat Bika WAY EASIER than Ward did.

              Bute made Bika look amateurish,

yet Bika gave Ward a very tough, almost even fight.

also, why can Ward use Bika as a "good opponent" and "good level of competition" but yet the same people crticize Bute for not fighting good opposition when he beat Bika even eaiser than Ward did?

                Talk about hypocritical.

Bute has solid wins over Bika & Johnson & Miranda.

Ward has solid wins over Bika & Kessler & Froch. Allan Green sucks, is a bum. Art Abraham is limitedand came off of 2 straight losses.

Ward did not have many hard fights. Only 2: Kessler and Froch. Green, Abraham were joke fights.

Allan Green sucks,yes...but Froch and Kessler wins trump over ANYTHING Bute has on his resume.I imagine Kessler and Froch can make a competitive fight for Bute.

Abraham's losses were by decision, which he was never looking for anyways.Arthur was always looking for the KO, not the decision.Abraham is ALWAYS a risk due to his one punch power. It is hard to imagine anyone on Bute's resume that has as much power as AA.

No one has beaten Bika as easy as Bute did. Not even Joe Calzaghe, who arguably the GOAT at 168 very debatable.

But, you can't read too much into that either.

Because, it's a different of styles.

Like I said this fight is must for it to happen. Hopefully by the end of 2012 it gets made. I have no problem with letting the fight marinate so it can be bigger.

Have Ward build his fan base a little more in Oakland. Maybe against Dirrell. Have Bute beat some of the other names in the weight-class like Froch. And, then fight at the end of the year.

Do you even know what Green's status as a fighter was when he fought Ward or are you just going to boxrec? Maybe you're just looking at Green's loss to Johnson and saying "he was always a bum", like everyone else does everytime someone loses around here.

At the time, you do realize that Green's only loss came to an undefeated Miranda when he was terminally ill during the fight. He still managed to knock Miranda down in the fight.

Green then bounced back and had pretty good wins against Simms and KO'd De Leon.

At the time when Green fought Ward, Green was a solid opponent. Johnson fought Green when Green was coming off a loss.

The only fight I would say Ward had an easy opponent was when he fought AA. Abraham was already exposed by Froch and Dirrel. But to discredit Green at the time, you're being rediculous.
