AS I said, buffer had the scorecards, told khan he won
the ref let peterson go in with his head and elbows, if khan tried to defend himself by pushing him away he lost points
this was a disgrace of a boxing outcome, justice must be done
come on wba and ibf, do whats right for boxing and what is just, not what the haters wantComment

Every time we see Schaefer's name mentioned these days, he is "furious" or "outraged" or something like. He'd better watch his blood pressure. I suppose it's the standard PR way of expressing dissatisfaction. I think Peterson won, and, although I know that peterson was going in with his head low, I don't recall a single incident of actual headbutting. Khan certainly didn't like Peterson's head on his chest, or under his chin, but he has to get used to it. He can always move to one side. He managed to perform Nijinskyean leaps to get from the ropes to the other side of the ring, in on or two bounds.Amir Khan's camp have been informed by the WBA and IBF that an appeal into the controversial points defeat by Lamont Peterson will be held in mid January.

I only heard the ref caution Peterson about his head a few times, maybe 3-4 max. And not for any infraction, just as a precaution. But Khan was thrusting Peterson away with both fully extended arms as if he were "blocking". Surely illegal. I've seen points taken away for excessive pushing like that. It was very aggressive.
In this fight he reminded me of Oscar's last 5 rounds against Trinidad...........Maybe he's been listening to Oscar instead of to The Roach.Comment

99 percent of refs dont mind pushing if they allow the other guy to fight on the insideEvery time we see Schaefer's name mentioned these days, he is "furious" or "outraged" or something like. peterson was going in with his head non stop mate, that is against the rules
in that fight you saw the ref letting peterson go head first and land elbows on khan, when khan pushed him back to avoid being headbutted the ref told khan not to do anything
you have seen those kind of points lost for pushing? please, only a horrific ref would take points of, its a shame khan got an awful ref on the night, also awful judges....also the fact the scorecards vanished until 2 days ago and the decision was changeda t the end smells like hometown cooking
thing is if you tell one guy not to do something you have to tell the other
you cant enforce rules on one and not the other, its jusy not fairComment

Investigation, WTF?!? If this is how he thinks he's going to get his titles back and the loss expunged then this says an awful lot about Khan. Let's see if I'm getting this right, he loses a close fight due to the fact that his hype was unable to sustain him enough to grant him a definitive win, so when that didn't work he wanted an immediate rematch. When Peterson decides to do what any sane man would do in his place, which is consider his options, Khan pulls this stunt?
Everyday I'm reading some new angle about how he's trying to get justice outside the ring instead of handling it inside one. My opinion of Khan has been dropping like a lead balloon since the fight but now he's gone and attached rocket packs to it. Does he have any idea about how much of a baby/sore loser he looks like right now?
Heh, Khan forgot the fundamental truth about well made plans going into the Peterson bout. He should have been focused on the man that was in front of him and not potential fights down the road. Besides, given the fallout from the loss to Peterson I'm beginning to think that Khan would have lost anyway, even if he lived in the here and now.Last edited by Slip Stream; 12-20-2011, 06:48 PM.Comment

that's because one of the judges accidentally marked round 7 as 10-8 for khan. why in the hell would khan win a round he had a point deduction in, 10-8?Comment
