i dont know about that one...ortiz was hungry when he fought berto the first time no question, but now that he got a taste of the big time, some of that fire might be gone and berto's out for revenge just like cotto was against margarito, how did that rematch turn out?

plus the ortiz-berto I was a competitive fight, one that ortiz clearly won, but he wasn't bulldozing berto, so its not out of the realm of possibilities that berto can win, i mean he knocked down ortiz twice didnt he?

i dont think ortiz quit in the floyd fight, he was actually doing relatively good considering the fact that he was facing floyd....the 2 floyd cheap shots, were big ones that ortiz never saw coming, the ones u dont see coming, always hurt the most, those bell ringers shook ortiz up, and he couldn't get up in time...i think he looked happy cuz of the big pay day, the fact that he came up from the gutter and into a ppv fight, i think he was just proud that he made it that far, maybe he thought it was karma since he butted mayweather and thought it was funny

I kinda agree, Berto is where Ortiz was the first time around.

But folks are underestimating Ortiz, and he will be much more confident this time around. He wants to prove that he truly belongs at the top following on from the Mayweather incident, he is hungry as well, and he has the confidence that comes from knowing that he already beat Berto once.

You bet, no way is it out of the realm of possibilities that Berto can win.

This fight will not be as good as the last one, it could take longer to unfold as both guys will be more cautious not to make a mistake. This will be a more technical fight, but will still have its moments.

I think there are probably elements of truth in that.

        Should be a good fight.

        Enjoy ^^

IMHO, Ortiz needs to do exactly what he did in the first fight.

He needs to take it to Berto, and show him no respect at all.

He needs to bring it and put Berto under pressure, and recreate those moments of doubt that Berto had late in the first fight, and immediately after.

The very same moments of doubt that caused Berto to insinuate that Ortiz was on steroids, and insist that Ortiz quit against Mayweather.

You just keep hoping that is the case Andre.

I don't see what Andre Berto said that wasn't spot on about Victor Ortiz in that fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. But he better worry about himself because he has a lot to prove because that same guy that he considers a quitter beat his ass. Can't let it happen again.

People talk about the Margarito/Cotto II fight and don't know nothing.
Cotto was done for after the 9th round. They stopped the fight because
he was going to get knocked out..for sure. He hardly knew where he was
when they declared the fight off. Was totally shot. A big win? He was going
                to get knocked out again!

Of course Ortiz quit, because he is a weak minded fighter, as we have all seen. He just did not want all the viewers to continue to watch him get that ass beat and picked apart, round after round. Floyd starts off slow too...by round 8-9 that would have been an embarrasing one-sided beating for Ortiz. Ortiz was better off quitting as he did after that 2 piece hahaha.

Ortiz didn't have anymore fight in him,,,,Berto's right Ortiz tried to box with the best boxer on the planet and found out just how hard it was. To beat Floyd, you gotta kind of bum rush him--throw his phenomenal timing off a bit. In theory a really good counter-puncher shouldn't be that hard to beat: put aaalllloooooottt pressure on him, don't let up for 12rds and you got the fight won. The key is to keep constant pressure on--aka, back up against the ropes, if you let Floyd settle into a groove, especially in the center of the ring, he'll murder you--the ball's no longer in your court, your fighting his fight now.
