Who of those Boxers has the highest Boxing IQ?

Who of those 4 Boxers has the highest Boxing IQ/Ring intelligence?
    Vote on the Poll.
All of those 4 have shown great ring intelligence in the past. It's not easy to make a decision.
(For those who are only interested in what's going on in boxing today, do me a favor and check out "The Fighting Marine" Gene Tunney before you vote on the poll)

The other three are a level above Ward for the time being. Lets see how he does down the road.

Thing with Floyd is he's got elite talent as well as a high boxing IQ.

I would put Ward and Hopkins above Floyd because they don't have the natural abilities of Floyd but have still gotten to extremely high levels in the sport almost ALL based off of their IQ.

Not to knock on Floyd with that because he's insanely smart in the ring too.

They are all elite, ATG status in terms of their boxing IQ as such. Not that a brawler of the ame level isn't. They also fight with what they have been given to an incredible degree of skill and ability, so really it's all the same, but these guys, in purist boxing principles, are all on the highest level.

As Jab pointed out though, Ward is still relatively untried and untested amongst the same type of competition, as is Floyd when it comes down to it. Comparing their resumes is wrong, but their skills, they are all equal, with different ways of using those skills of course but all to a very simile elite degree imo.

ward's got a lot of proving to do before he's atg anything

we'll all feel silly about jumping the gun in calling him great if he cant get past bute's power (even though i think he'll outpoint bute pretty handily)

with floyd, tunney, and hopkins, you are talking about certified ATG's who rely on their craft

you can take your pick, he's still a great boxer.

I think Marquez should be on this list but he definitely is not the smartest fighter in the game. A smart fighter doesn't get dropped by guys like Michael Katsidis or get pulled into a war with Juan Diaz. Although Marquez is one of the smartest boxers out there he can't be considered the smartest when he's dropped almost anytime he faces a fighter with a decent punch. Sorry bro

Floyd. Just look at the Ortiz fight. He kept his presence of mind even after all the commotions happened on the ring. He know what exactly is happening. That is why the Low-IQ'd Ortiz got KTFO'd.

Floyd of course. That guy breaks you down mentally in and out the ring.
