as floyd says this is prizefighting. we aint fighting to prove who the best is. then when you look at his resume yep you aren't trying to prove who the best is. at least he's honest.

When was the last time Floyd fought a real threat?

He has fought several of them. The only time those so-called "threats" are no longer considered as threats is after he fought them.

After Pac fought Oscar at 147, Pac moved down to 140 and fought Hatton at his best weight where he actually undefeated. Pac ko him in 2 and retired him for good while Floyd win against Hatton?
Pac beat Marquez 3 times already in a close fight without weight cheating him and those 2 were in Marquez 2 best weight classes.
Pac kd Shane Mosley, ran like a girl and retired him for good while Floyd win against Mosley?
Ortiz? Sucker punch?Last edited by boxer.exposed; 01-07-2012, 10:11 PM.

The only thing about it is he has no threat. Kinda like prime Roy Jones. He can only take the best WW has to offer.
Manny is no that neither.

Pac fought Ledwaba with just 2 weeks short notice and ko him for the IBF belt. With just 2 weeks notice fighting one of the best in super bantamweight = threat
Pac moved to 126 and fought lineal champ Barrera, tko him. Barrera was considered the best at 126 that time = threat
Pac fought Marquez 3 times, all in a close fight. Marquez was clearly a threat.
I can go on but who cares? lol

Honestly, it depends on how you define the word "threat". If you're a Pacquiao fan, then Floyd has never faced a legit threat in his entire life. Those of us in the real world know otherwise, though.
If by "threat" you mean someone he was not heavily favored to beat, then yes. If memory serves me correct the Corrales and Castillo fights were both fairly even in terms of betting action.
You'd have to track down all the odds on all of his fights for a thorough analysis, though. And I doubt you could find Las Vegas odds from 10+ years ago.
