Mercer should have been disqualified. The ref put his arms on Mercer and he still punched Morrison two more times. That is why I celebrated when Mercer had his ass handed to him by Wlad and Shannon Briggs because he deserved it.

Mercer is a dirty fighter if you let him get away with it, he's done that a couple of times. Gotta hand it to the Duke though, he showed more heart in that clip than I've ever seen Mercer show lol

can anyone tell me when this fight took place and also when did the lewis-mercer fight happen also. Lewis got the decision win but many people say that Mercer should have won the fight...

This clip is in super slo-mo. Mercer's fists were flying very quickly. He was firing away....& there was no way the ref initially touching was going to stop him.
Mercer did nothing wrong, nothing at all.

The fight took place in October of '91.
Mercer-Lewis was in May/June of '96.

Lewis-Mercer was 1996 I think. I scored it a draw, but if I had to pick a winner, I remember thinking Mercer deserved it. I'd love to see it again though and score it more closely.
