    How is that ridiculous, Batt?
I think this is a great match-up. One of the best that can be made. You said you didnt like it and I simply cannot understand it. So what if its a 2 fight deal. If the first fight ends in a lopsided brutal KO you can count on the second fight getting voided.

The thing is that there's no way, IMO, that this match-up could have been made with 'only' one fight as neither would give up homefield advantage. Bute has shown that repeatedly in the past and surely Froch deserves a big fight in Nottingham.

Looks like Kessler will be the odd man out, which is appropriate since he really has no desire to take on the best fighters anymore. He just wants to fight exclusively in Denmark and collect paychecks against overmatched opponents. His fans really don't care about the caliber of his opposition, they will happily pay for fights like Sartison and Stieglitz until the time to retire comes along. Fans of Froch and Ward have a much higher standard that they hold their fighter to in terms of opposition.

A return fight between Ward and Kessler is never going to happen as neither Ward nor Kessler will travel overseas and Sauerland will insist on promotional rights so they can influence the officials the way they always do. Not a chance in hell Goossen will let that happen.

I like the idea of Froch Bute and think it is the best matchup to be made. Froch is a much better version of Andrade who gave Bute hell, I would like his chances.

I don't like the two fight deal, Batt. Never said I didn't like the match-up. And I would hope something like that would happen.

Although I don't rule him out of any matchup at 175, those possibilities are why I'd prefer him to remain at 168 for the time being.

Assuming both parties are still active at 168, after this whole Ward-Froch-Bute triangle is resolved, maybe Froch can get the chance to set the record straight with Kessler (who would presumably hold a strap by that time and who isn't realistically ever going to be a part of the bigger picture at SMW).

Maybe I misunderstood you somewhat then. On the other hand I do not understand why you'd very much want such a decisive end to the first fight. I'd rather prefer the first one being a barnburner so we can have a great encore with a bit of needle.

I cannot understand why you'd say that Kessler isn't likely to be a part of the bigger picture. Two fights ago he beat Froch even though he had double vision.

Yes, I think you did, no big deal. Guess we will see what occurs.

And Kessler beats Ward in Copenhagen BTW.

But of course Froch and bute sign a 2 fight deal like 95 seconds after froch loses to ward, making it the fasted agreement in the history of the sport.

Which again puts Bute out until 2013. But hey it's awesome for bute he doesn't have to fight the best fighter in the division for at least another year.

But this is how boxing works, the loser gets the big paydays not the winners. That's why Kermit Cintron got rewarded with losing to Molina by getting a fight with Canelo (while Molina gets james kirkland).
Ward, said, Bute should fight somebody on the elite level to deserve a fight with him, so Bute is doing so.

What Part of the 2 fight deal, ends in July dont you understand? Theres still the second half of 2012 to make the Ward fight, so stop making **** up about them not fighting till 2013.

Ward ass said, he needed a rest and that Bute needed to prove himself. Ward can fight his mando(Dirrel) in may, and fight Bute in October/November, so stop the b*tching and moaning!!
