I think you're being a little of a sadist though by trying to get him to face Cloud.
I'd be happy if he just faced top guys in his own weight class.

Because he offered Kessler chump change to fight in his backyard. Same with Pavlik only he offered even less.

Kessler is just picking up an easy title to give him some bargaining parity for future fights.

Bute is a talent at 168 for sure, but until he beats a couple of elite fighters then he's still just a fringe belt holder.

He should fight Pascal first, seeing as they are both transplanted Canadians, it would be a mega fight in Montreal. Then he can face Dirrell, Froch or Kessler before earning a legit shot at the champ.

Almost 2 mill isn't chump change. (Even more for Kessler) Hell, Martinez doesn't even make that. Pavlik and Kess ducked Bute plain and simple.

It wouldn't be right for Bute to lounge around for 3 years talking French while Andre Ward had to fight Abraham, Kessler, and Froch.

I mean if that's the case, Froch could've just boinked his girlfriend, let the others slug it out. And face a worn out Andre Ward.

          Lame.

Im asking this question legit so please no hater responses.

After there were so many withdrawals during the tournament, why wasnt Bute then introduced as one of the subs?

Clutch, it won't happen in 2012 as Froch signed up a double header with But

That's what Bute is and he'll be nothing more than that.

Kessler said that figure was bullshit, a made up number by someone in the media. He said the real offer was ridiculously low. Here ya go:

Mikkel Kessler has noted that a lot of people has asked him to fight IBF champion Lucian Bute in Canada but says: - “The offers received from Bute was the same as him saying that he did not want to fight me. It would be the equivalent of us offering him one Danish krone to come to Denmark. I’d very much like to fight Bute, but it has to be reasonable”.

The fact that Kessler didn't even provide a counter offer proves he didn't want the fight regardless of money.
