I don't like it when he switches to southpaw in the ring...it makes no sense unless the guy's really dumb enough to fall for it....Other than that he's still a very dangerous contender though.

Dirrell is an amazing talent and could be great, but the only problem he has is he is a weak-minded fighter. He reminds me of Zab judah somewhat, or Kermit Cintron. He has great ability but he just cannot put it all together in big fights. 2 examples:
-In the Froch fight, when he showed what he could do, he hurt Froch and made him look outclassed, but he also screwed around, fell down a lot, clowned around, etc. and basically threw the fight away because it ended up being a SD.
-In the Abraham fight, Dirrell boxed beautifully and put Abraham down too...he was giving a boxing masterpiece. But when it was getting tough late and Abraham was coming on a bit, instead of biting down and fighting adversity, he pulled that bogus head injury bs. Sure Abraham hit him when he was down but cmon, that was acting at its best. He was looking for a way out late it seemed.
These are two examples that show he is just not a strong-minded fighter. It sucks because he is very talented and could be champion. Hopefully he pulls it together and can overcome this but only time will tell.Comment

This guy has like 1 notable win, and has just been doing nothing for over a year. Who cares what he thinks.Comment

I actually think he is better as a southpaw, his best punch is the straight left IMO, he landed it nicely against Froch and Abraham.
But I do think that he switches too often, a lot of time a boxer will switch and it won't really make a difference.Comment
