smh at mayweather wanting a catchweight it just shows you what type of person he is ...... a coward !!!! plus i dont believe this for a second !!!! there is no way he is interested in a fight with manny or sergio !!!!!!!he is just using manny and sergio as a smoke screen because he really wants morales or alverez at a 147 catchweight!!!!!!!

*******s going to shyt on pac and sergio.... they are in a never ending twilight zone of hating... they don't know wtf to do now.. haha..

Bless their sorry little hating hearts this holiday season!

Pac stay fighting TR bums, while Floyd is fighting Champions.... haters gonna hate but you can't hide the truth. At the end of the day if Bob wants the fight boxing fans will get it. If not, look for Pac to fight another bum.

As it stands the hype job that Pac is can't even fight old Light weights at a WW catchweight... Floyd owns Pac and Bob knows this.

This is the deal Arum made with Dibella in order to keep Martinez away from Chavez. Arum agreed to have Pacquiao fight Marquez so that Martinez will get the shot at Mayweather instead. After Martinez defeats Mayweather, Arum will have a good excuse to keep Pac away from May saying it's pointless to make the fight then. Kill two birds with one stone.

Pacquiao can SAY anything, but he's not the one in charge. The fight can't be made unless Arum decides that he's willing to negotiate with Team Mayweather. So far he has refused.

Ok, i guess it's up to Arum now to echo those sentiments.

Personally, If I was Floyd Mayweather, I wouldn't even consider entertaining the thought of doing this fight because it would be too risky for him and Bob Arum was right as he has been stating this fact all along. For one, Martinez is an unknown boxer among the casual boxing fan in the U.S. Television market. Two, Mayweather would need an excellent foil, to help carry this promotion in order to build a demand for this bout, because he can't do it alone. However, with the help of Victor Ortiz; Who is both Mexican American, bilingual and speaks English. He was able to ingratiate him into the mainstream boxing audience in the U.S. While at the same time tapping into that huge Mexican and Mexican American market as well. This is why the promotion with Victor Ortiz was such a huge box office draw and pay per view success. However with Sergio Martinez, who speaks only Spanish. The language barrier could be a major obstacle in the promotion of this bout as well as Sergio's endeavor, in attempting to connect and reach out to the mainstream U.S. audience. Also, this could very well hinder pay per view and ticket sales, since Martinez doesn't have a large fanbase or following outside of the U.S. Markets. Therefore, Mayweather would stand to lose millions of dollars on this event if it tanks at the box office or on Pay per view because as a promoter; He would have to cover all of its losses and expenses.

The same risk he took when he took a risk against Victor Ortiz, a bigger, taller, younger southpaw. And don't start extolling Martinez's virtues, since Martinez has a questionable resume to begin with - Paul Williams? Drunk Pavlik? Troubled by Barker? Eh.
