Wow, this is good news for the pac/mayweather fight. I don't believe that floyd wants anything to do with sergio so the way i see this, may/pac is close to reality. I don't like floyd as a person, but as a boxer he truly is great and i don't think manny has much of a chance. Sergio on the other hand, is one of two people i think would beat floyd or make him look human. Dont laugh, but the other is paul williams. I see paul beating floyd. i don't see a cotto fight when they can't even make a pac fight.
unless cotto signed with gbp for his last fights or became a free agent.

pacquiao is arum's main man, if there is any slight chance of him losing a possible fight, you can bet arum will avoid it as much as he can. with cotto, he is on his way out in most peoples' eyes and isn't his contract with top rank expiring soon? either way, i don't think arum would ignore mayweather if he offered cotto a fight, even if pacquiao/mayweather negotiations fell apart. it is about making the most money at the end of the day. arum's beef is with gbp for the most part imo.
then again, i think an alvarez or martinez fight would be a bit easier to make even though cotto is the biggest name of the 3
