i would put 4 options but let's be honest this fight is going to the cards. calzaghe is not gonna slap ward into a stoppage and neither is ward's feathery gloves gonna stop calzaghe so who wins this U.D.?

would Calzaghe vs. Ward look like Calzaghe vs. Hopkins?

Hard to tell. Calzaghe had tons of trouble against a spoiler like Hopkins who ducked low and clinched a lot and Ward is a sort of a faster and more athletic version of the Hopkins Calzaghe fought. Too close to call.

Still slightly favour Calzaghe (Prime for prime) but Ward is gonna be very hard for anyone to beat.

As for right now, Calzaghe wouldn't have a prayer, he's done as a fighter now.

Calzaghe in his prime beats Ward imo he is faster and more versatile fighter.

Ward has a much better jab than Hopkins and as you pointed out.. more athletic. Ward tries to come forward more and force himself more on his opponents though which would be to Calzaghe's advantage, he was never man handled at 168 lbs.

wow you guys are saying prime calzaghe is a toss up fight? So many of you are already considering Ward an ATG that's pretty much unbeatable in this era?

It's still too early to say, most of his opponents have been flat footed (Kessler, Miranda, Froch, Bika, Green, Abraham).

Calzaghe was light on his feet himself and has far superior hand speed to any on that list. We need to see Ward fight a true boxer himself first.

Judging by what was said in the other thread, the darker fighter should prevail.
