If I'm Manny I would not go any lower then a 52-48 split.

As a boxing fan I want Money to take the 50/50 split for the sake of boxing because this fight has been dragging on way to long. As a businessman you have to understand that Mayweather is undefeated, he has generated more money over his career, and Pacman has went on record saying he'll take less money. Based off those variables, as a businessman I would NOT take a 50/50 split.
Boxing is a business and for Mayweather to take a 50/50 split under those circumstances he would be short changing himself.

He's the guy who said he'd do it. Now it's my fault for holding him accountable to what he said?
Sure buddy.
- Arum's outside investors
- May 5th wasn't a hard date, since Floyd was jail-bound up until Jan 6th
Floyd rejecting Arum's promotional propositions, and sticking to May 5th, Pac then moved to a 50/50 split demand.

Case in point: FLOYD MAYWEATHER

but these are not ammo to any actual future negotiations. they'll start from scratch and lay out everything each party wants.

But if Floyd comes out and says I want more then 50-50... and Pac says, Ill take less... like I said.. what's the problem now?
Floyd was suppose to go to jail in January.
May 5th was NOT the do or die date it is now.
And since the variables have changed then the request change.

**** Bob **** Haymon **** Golden Boy I bet if they talked they will make this fight happen
then turn around and state
well we all know the fighters don't negotiate so it's irrelevant what they say
all this time we have tired of hearing the mantra from both sides' teams so now they finally meet and Floyd holds Manny to his word and now there is yet another uproar because Floyd did that?

Everyone knows this fight would never get done for anything less than 50/50. Why cling onto some NOTHING quote from Pacquiao to a phillipino journalist as any sort of indicator as to how negotiations would play out. If Pacquiao promoted himself, he'd be a broken down bum living on the streets sucking **** for crack.

Promotors do a hell of a lot more than negotiate a contract. They're in charge of marketing, fighter appearances, autograph signings, media appearances and interviews, commercials to promote the fight and everything else that goes along with it.
There would be no such thing as promoters if the fighters themselves didn't have a say in what split they should receive? In what is acceptable to them and what is not?
What?
