Promoter Lou DiBella has advised BoxingScene.com that he submitted a request to the WBC to hold an immediate purse bid for the mandatory fight between middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and mandatory challenger Sergio Martinez. Its more that arum would never let 1 of his golden geese entr a fight as a significant underdog. its pretty obvious that arum doesnt care 1 iota about the best interests of boxing or the fights fans want to see. and only cares about his own financial interest.
even though a loss by chavez wouldnt derail chavez' career - in fact a competitve loss would give him legitimacy
