[QUOTE=Pugly!;11571379]so what does this make martinez for wanting to fight chavez rather than pirog, who is also a champion?? QUOTE] Don't be a fool. Chavez is the MUCH bigger name, if nothing more, brings WAY more money locally than Pirog. The TV networks HUGELY favor a name like Chavez over a barely known Pirog. Pirog needs to quit living off the Jacobs win and get back on TV here. He should have striked while the iron was hot.Comment

Pirog would be the Better fight but Both money and language may play a factor. Its no fun when you have to Bring an Interpreter just to talk to Trash to your Opponent. Like with Mayorga, after waiting for the translation, the Mood is more Comical after hearing some Dorky Guy with Glasses repeat the Crazy Chit that comes out of Ricardos mouth. But as you can tell with Cotto and Margarito, Trash Talking sounds more intense in Spanish and even if you dont understand, you can still Feel the Hate with the Exaggerated Facial Expressions. I want to See Martinez v Pirog but wouldnt be Disappointed to see Chavez v Martinez either.Comment

not saying i don't agree with what you said about arum. . . but how exactly is it in the best interest of boxing for one of the best fighters in the world, to fight a guy who has only been boxing for like 5 years, and is CLEARLY a mismatch?
i didn't think mismatches were in the best interest of boxing. . .Comment
