Going straight into a rematch is at aleast financially his best option unless he feels unsure of winning the rematch which would leave him in that high risk catergory where it would be hard to land other big fights.
Peterson should insist on only defending WBA belt and hold onto the IBF just in case...
Peterson would be left looking from the outside wanting to get inside if he takes a rematch with Khan, He wouldnt get a decision against Khan anywhere else but DC, So it would be ****** of him to give Khan a rematch.

Let's see Khan give Maidana or Prescott a rematch.

That's not true...He would have gotten the decisioin in many states...He was beating Khan's as.s around the ring.

Peterson needs to play hard to get and the bid will rise to triple what it is now.
In a negotiation you never accept the first offer especially when you have all the leverage.

If the IBF agrees to not back the rematch it's been done before where a belt wasn't on th line

khan is too much a headhunter. he keeps his hands too high to protect his glassy chin, and that leaves him exposed to body punches. many times khan punched peterson high to the head, only to get a body check combination in return, which surprised him, and with no inside fighting skills it made him run all over the place or push peterson away. the way i see it a rematch would play out pretty much the same, maybe slight different scorecards.

I beg to differ, Peterson would have been robbed in places like Las vegas or new york, You really think those places would give Peterson who was the challenger/less name the decision? I dont believe so..

I can see Peterson Knocking Khan out in a rematch, I think he is the sort of fighter who gets better and better, I dont think Peterson himself understand how good he can get.

You seem to forget the fight was decided due to point deductions not judging different ref different outcome

according to boxing bodies' rules a champ has to defend every 6 months, or he risks being stripped (what happened to bradley). so unless he can make 2 defenses for 2 different titles within 6 months it doesn't seem to make much sense.
